How did telecommunications in Albania come about? What was your development during the communist regime of Enver Hoxha? The present volume deals with the history of the birth and evolution of television information by making an overview of the relationship between mass media communication and Albanian politics, both in the long period of the communist regime and during the subsequent democratization of the country. The survey focuses on the historical reality of Albania from the beginning of the twentieth century to the present day, highlighting the close relationship with Italy and the influence of RAI in the formation of Albanian public television. If at the time of the regime we had to deal with a gagged information and forced to become party propaganda, even in the subsequent phase of transition to democracy, the fate of public information in Albania does not register significant improvements. The numerous television broadcasters born over the years do not seem to guarantee an adequate information quality, just think that the ranking of Reporters Without Borders places Albania in 82nd place for freedom of expression of the media.
