Padma. Artistic, religious and cultural traditions unite on this journal cover. The handwoven fabric reproduced here is an expression of the weavers cultural heritage. The name padma refers to the lotus flower, one of the Eight Auspicious Symbols of Buddhism. One of the most recognisable Buddhist symbols, the lotus represents growth of the soul.
