The best lesson I learned from The 5 Levels of Leadership was that leadership is a matter of constructive influencing. It is about finding value in people, investing in their values, and turning them into precious assets for the benefit of themselves and all relevant parties at the individual, organizational, and social levels. The book is so rich and contains good examples, memories, and stories of great managers and leaders. Studying the lives of these great leaders, we can learn many good leadership lessons. In this book, you can identify the lessons that Maxwell learned from great leaders and taught them as highly valuable leadership lessons to the next leaders. In my view, The 5 Levels of Leadership is a perfect guide to leadership succession as an objective pursued by many leaders. I would like to conclude this review with these terrific words from Maxwell, “If we do our work with excellence and help others to be productive, we gain great leadership credibility.”
