Shankha. Artistic, religious and cultural traditions unite in the handwoven pattern of this design. The fabric reproduced on this journal is an authentic expression of the weavers cultural heritage. The name shankha refers to the conch shell, one of the Eight Auspicious Symbols of Buddhism. The shell represents fearlessly proclaiming the truth of dharma.
